Description
In The Flow, the artist presents a breathtaking vertical composition that explores the sensation of emotional weightlessness. The canvas is dominated by a soft, bleeding wash of pastel pinks, lavenders, and light blues that mimic the appearance of a watercolor sky or a shifting nebula. This fluid background provides a striking contrast to the solid, obsidian “ceiling” that hangs at the top of the frame. The central focus is a lone, delicate creature suspended on a swing that drops down from the dark upper boundary. The creature appears to be in a state of total surrender, floating effortlessly within the pastel expanse. Below, the ground is represented by tangled, wiry black lines—a recurring motif in this series that suggests the messy, complicated reality of the physical world. By remaining suspended in the “flow” above, the creature finds a sanctuary of peace, distant from the entanglements below. “To find the flow, one must trust the air more than the ground.”
